Rebecca Ann Hathcock Simpson of Marshville passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 86.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Euto Baptist Church, 6019 Highway 205 Marshville, NC 28103. The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center.
Becky was born November 15, 1937, to the late Nathan & Alice Little Hathcock, and was a lifetime resident of Union County. She was a godly woman and faithful member of Euto Baptist and served her church and community in many ways. She had a big heart for missions and loved being a part of the Cornerstone Sunday School class. She loved cooking family meals and made the best chocolate desserts! She loved to read and passed that along to many in her family! She retired from SunTrust Bank after 37 years of employment where she worked in the Marshville branch.
In addition to her parents, Becky is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Neal. They had been married for 64 years. Also preceded in death by her only sibling, John Nathan Hathcock.
Becky is survived by her children: Keff Simpson (Angela); Kara Simpson Ivey (Mark), and Ethan Simpson. Grandchildren: Stacy Simpson Moss (Tyler), Jessica Brigham, Cassie Poplin Little (Phil), Brett Lambeth, Sammy Simpson, Charli Poplin Moore (John Mark), Zachary Simpson (Hailey), and Will Ivey. Great grandchildren: Chase Simpson, Kaden Moss, Levi Little, Naomi Little, Tayla Simpson, Leigha Simpson, Lincoln Moore, McKinley Moore, Watson Moore, and Lily Simpson. Great-great Grandchildren: Tynslee Morton, Salem Simpson, and Hudson Simpson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Euto Baptist Church or Hospice of Union County.
