Rebecca Ann Leighow

Rebecca Ann Leighow, 56, “Gods gift to those who know her”, died Wednesday, October 17, 2007. She was born in Asheville, NC on February 18, 1951 daughter of the late Buford Leonard and Emily Carter Edwards Humphries. Rebecca was a laboratory technologist with Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville, NC. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 20, 1007 at 1:00 PM at Trinity Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Michael Leighow, daughters, Chyrisse Hanna of Denver, Colorado, Angela Irvin of Eagle River, Alaska, and Melissa Carland of Asheville, NC, brothers, Tom Humphries of Atlanta, GA and Rex Humphries of Apalachicola, Florida, sister, Karen Bryant of Atlanta, GA and 2 grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Gordon Funeral Cremation Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
