Rebecca Lynn Wilson

Rebecca “Becky” Rogers Wilson, a daughter, sister, mother and friend was peacefully united with her Savior in Heaven on Sunday, August 21, 2022…she was 69.
Becky was born in Charlotte on February 11, 1953, to Marvin and Elaine Rogers. She lived in the Charlotte/Monroe area for the majority of her life and loved the city of Monroe and its people. Becky graduated from West Charlotte High School before taking a job with Southern Bell in Charlotte. Later on she worked at the Smith Helms Nursing Center in Monroe as a CNA and also Multiple Directory Service. Her desire to help and care for others continued throughout her life.

Becky became a Wilson on October 21,1978 when she married James “Jim” Robert Wilson. Together they raised two wonderful children, Brian and Josh, also in the Charlotte/Monroe area. They were married for 43 years.

Becky is survived by her husband Jim and their sons, Brian Williams (Angela) and their three children Nolan, Peyton and Olivia as well as son Josh Wilson. Also, those left to cherish her memory are her brother Pastor M.A. “Sandy” Rogers Jr, and wife Jeannean, and her sister Myra R. Turk as well as nieces, nephews, two dogs of her own and five grand-dogs.

Becky was very easy to get to know. In her eyes there was no such thing as a stranger, she made friends everywhere she went and had many admirers of her huge heart, outgoing personality and her ability to always put others first. She was always the life of the party with her contagious smile along with her shag moves on the dance floor. She was very funny and never met a cat or dog that she didn’t love and always made sure they had a full belly of treats. She was definitely one of a kind and will be missed dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held at Fairfield Community Baptist Church, 7208 Olive Branch Road., Marshville, NC 28103 on Monday, August 29th, 2022, at 2:30pm. Visitation will be following the service.
