Reese Eugene Wilson

Charlotte, NC Reese Eugene Wilson, 88, of Mint Hill, NC, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Presbyterian Hospital, Matthews. Funeral service will be Friday, August 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the First Baptist Church of Matthews with burial to follow at 1:00 PM at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery in Anson County, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Matthews. Mr. Wilson was born April 26, 1922 in Homer Georgia, son of the late James A. and Lovie Dunson Wilson. Reese was a Veteran of Army Air Corp, a member of First Baptist Church of Matthews and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Survivors include his wife Louise Williams Wilson, two daughters Jane Long and (Barry) of Mint Hill, NC, Amy Covington and (Edward) of Gastonia, NC. Two brothers Albert Wilson of Concord, NC, Lewis Wilson of Alto, GA. Sister Doris Hunter of Powder Springs, GA. Grandchildren Joanna Long, Benjamin Long, Hannah Covington, Sarah Covington, and Elizabeth Covington. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Matthews, 185 South Trade Street, P.O.
