Rev. J.B. Helms' Obituary
Rev. J. B. Helms, 95, passed away, Tuesday, January 7, 2014. He was born in Union County, NC on February 3, 1918 son of the late Levy Wilson and Maggie Viola Laney Helms. The family will receive friends Friday, January 10, 2014 from 12:30 until 1:45 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112 followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Rev. Helms is survived by a brother, Wade Helms of Waxhaw and grandchildren, Anthony and Jeff Hood.
