Rhylma Guynell (Mccarley) Plyler

Rhylma Guynell McCarley Plyler, of Monroe, NC, died Sunday, July 30, 2017 at home from complications of Alzheimer’s disease. Rhylma was born in Cliffton, SC on April 3, 1936 to John and Blanche McCarley. She married Clyde “Gordon” Plyler, Jr. in October of 1960. Gordon preceded her in death in June of 2011. Rhylma is survived by her son, Clyde Gordon “Tripp” Plyler, III and her daughter-in-law Amanda Plyler of Monroe, NC, 3 grandchildren, Rae, Sarah, and Jessie, 2 great-granddaughters, Naomi and Wynter, and brother Benton McCarley and his wife Kay. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 5th at 12 pm at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC. The Home-going service will follow visitation at 1 pm. Pastor Dene Grant of Walking by Faith Outreach Ministry in Pageland, SC will be officiating the service.
