Richard Carl Meyer

Mr. Richard Carl Meyer 81, passed away peacefully August 12, 2011, surrounded by his family. A native of Los Angeles California, he was born May 11, 1930. His parents were the late Carl and Helen Brown Meyer, and preceded by a brother Darrell Richard Meyer. Funeral services will be held Monday August 15th at Benton’s Cross Roads Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will have visitation today (Sunday) from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28110. Surviving are his wife Carol Stewart Meyer; sons: Stephen Robert Meyer of Corpus Christi, Texas, Donald Allen Meyer of Grand Prairie, Texas and Daniel Meyer of Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Daughters; Donna Richelle Neely of Lancaster, CA, Diane Meyer-Nelson of Gardner, KS, Stephanie Hinson of Indian Trail, Melissa Brooks of Harrisburg and Caroline Shank of Waxhaw. Sisters; Janet Hammond of Arlington, Texas, Muriel Luke of Hastings of Neb. And Mildred Thompson of Eugene Or.
