Richard Duane Heyen

Richard Duane Dick Heyen, of Monroe, NC, went to be with our Lord Friday, March 25, 2016. He was born in Milford, NE, June 2, 1932, to Mildred and Harry Heyen. He was the second oldest of eight children. Dick was a member of the Masons Beehive Lodge # 184 of Omaha, NE and was employed for many years as a sales manager with Armour Food Company. Due to Dick's love of cars from the young age of 8, he was delighted to finish his working career in the car business. He is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Marlene Mead Heyen of the home; daughters Cindy Bussey (Walt) of Council Bluffs, IA and grandchildren, Sean, Wally (Becky), Courtney (Dan); Sally Mayhorn of Monroe and grandson, Chris Mayhorn (Susan) of Holly Springs, NC; and Pam Miller of Carthage, NC and grandson, Matt Miller (Elisa) of Miami Beach, FL. He also leaves behind six beloved great-grandchildren. A private celebration of life service is planned for a later date. Gordon Funeral Service Crematory is caring for the Heyen family.
