Richard Lewis Mangum

Dateline: Monroe, NC Richard Lewis Mangum, 66, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 13, 2011. He was born in Union County, NC on December 24, 1944 son of the late Morris “Buss” and Ethel Mills Mangum. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Mr. Mangum is survived by his wife, Clara Cox Mangum, sons, Jimmy L. Mangum and wife Dawn of Monroe, Jerry L. Mangum and wife Jodie of Denver, daughters, Jeanne L. Mangum and Melissa K. Mangum, both of Monroe, step-son, Joel Presley of Monroe, step-daughters, Gale Mungo of Monroe, Teresa Salyer and Ron of Kingsport, TN, Donna Matthews and Rod of Matthews, Rhonda P. Gallimore and Thomas of Midland, brothers, David W. Plyler and wife Pat of Waxhaw, Gayle Plyler and wife Kay of Gastonia, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
