Richard "Rick" Scott Goodwin

Richard “Rick” Scott Goodwin, 70, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. He was born in Union County, NC, on February 8, 1954 son to the late Russell Laney Goodwin and Elaine Hemby Goodwin. He is also preceded in death by his wife Marsha Lynn Goodwin.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 27, 2024, in the chapel of Gordon Funeral Service with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Rick is survived by his two daughters, April Richardson (L.J. Baucom); Spring Weich (Bryan); and step-son Lloyd Benton Jr.; three brothers, Don Goodwin (Kay); Mike Goodwin (Patti); and Kenny Goodwin (Teren); six grandchildren, Drew Richardson; Ashlyn Hicks (Hunter); Myrick Richardson; Madison Benton; Haille Benton; and Gavin Benton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
