Ricky "Rick" Dean Pigg

Ricky “Rick” Dean Pigg, 70, of Monroe, NC passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Rick was born in Union County, NC, on August 18, 1955, son to the late Hall Wilson Pigg, Sr. and Lucy Bigham Pigg. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Carol Denise Duncan Pigg, two brothers, Hall Wilson Pigg, Jr. and Brian O’Neil Pigg.

Rick, a general contractor, began to develop his trade skills at a young age. His hard work and determination led to the development of a successful business, Archetype Builders in Monroe. Rick loved the Lord and was a man of faith. His humble heart and generous spirit were a testament to his love. Rick was passionate about his family and friends and a generous contributor to many in his community, some who never knew where their help came from. An avid racing fan, Rick enjoyed classic cars, Hot Rods, and motorcycles which led him on many adventures and road trips enjoyed with friends and family. Rick will be missed by the many people whose lives he touched.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church, 2518 Lancaster Hwy, Monroe, NC 28112, with burial to follow at Beulah Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 8305 Landsford Rd, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Rick is survived by his two daughters, Carrie Pigg Hinson (Scott), Kelly Pigg, three grandchildren, Addison Bivens, Dayton Mackey, Callie Hinson, and his special friend, Jan Ball.
