Robert “Bob” Allen Brychek, 79, of Waxhaw, NC, peacefully passed away on May 24, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was born in Cook County, IL on March 30, 1947, to the late John Edwards and Sue Czerniak Gruchmal. Bob honorably served in the 82nd Airborne.

Bob is survived by his son, Joe Brychek (Patty); daughters, Tiffany Lowery (John), Crystal Dowse (Robert); grandchildren, Dakota Boyd, Haleigh McManus (Ryan), Jarrett Lowery, Mona Boyd, and Brook Boyd.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
