Robert Ney Brantley

Robert Ney Brantley, age 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at the Hospice House in Monroe. Mr. Brantley was born November 11, 1931 in Monroe, a son of the late Murphy Secrest Brantley and Connie Helms Brantley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clayton Duck Brantley and Clarence Sug Brantley. A veteran of the US Army, Mr. Brantley was a member of the 62nd Infantry Division. He is survived by a brother, Louie Brantley and wife, Nancy, of Monroe; niece, Shan Brantley, of Charleston, SC; sister-in-law, Beatrice Brantley, of Monroe; niece, Susan Brantley Foster, of Matthews, NC and several cousins. Graveside services to celebrate the life of Mr. Brantley will be at 11AM on Monday, September 17, 2012 at the Monroe City Cemetery. Visitation will follow the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W.
