Robert Lamar Cassels

Monroe, NC Robert Lamar Cassels, 83, loving husband and father passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011. He was born in Chester County, SC on February 16, 1928 son of the late Samuel and Margaret Haefner Cassels. Mr. Cassels was a retired Teledyne Allvac employee and a loyal and very active member of First Baptist Church of Monroe. The family will receive friends, Wednesday, April 6, 2011 from 1:00 until 1:45 PM, at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. Mr. Cassels is survived by his wife, Evelyn Riggins Cassels, daughters, Michelle Atwell and husband Darin of Charlotte, Laura Cassels of Matthews, step-daughter, Sharon Smith Hardin and husband Ken of Charlotte, sister, Bernice Chaney of Monroe.
