Robert Todd Hagler

Robert Todd Hagler, 78, passed away Friday, December 24, 2021. He was born May 3, 1943 in Mecklenburg County, NC son of the late William Worth & Banna Todd Hagler, he is also preceded in death by his brother Tommy Hagler, and his twin sister. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday December 28, 2021 at Lakeview Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Those in attendance are encouraged to practice social distancing & wear face coverings. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects and sign his register at Gordon Funeral Service on Monday, December 27, 2021 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM, however, the family will not be present during these hours. Robert graduated from Garinger High School in Charlotte, and Appalachian State University. After finishing college, he taught school in South Boston, VA, and Forest Hills High School. He then went to work for Union Power in the Customer Service Department, and retired after 37 years of service. He loved his family and spending time with them and his beloved dog. He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren participate in many sporting events. He was a charter member of Lakeview Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, and sang in the choir until his health would no longer allow him to. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Linda Duncan Hagler, two sons, Todd Hagler, wife Kim of Kannapolis, and Andy Hagler, wife Barbara of Monroe, six grandchildren: Trace Hagler fiancée Kacie, Savanna Hagler, Hannah Hagler, Chase Hagler, Tali Hagler, and Rhett Hagler.
