Robert Gene Matheson

Indian Trail, NC Robert Gene Matheson, 62, died Thursday, December 6, 2012. Gene was born in Union County, NC, August 18, 1950 son of Margaret Matheson Conner of Monroe, NC and the late Joseph Benjamin Matheson. He was a US Navy veteran. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 9, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mr. Matheson is survived by his wife Marlene Eason Matheson; mother Margaret Matheson Conner of Monroe; son Jonathan Samuel Matheson of Gastonia, NC; brother Joseph B. “Butch” Matheson of Wingate, NC; sisters Pam Mullis and Brenda Starnes both of Monroe, NC. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:30 until 1:45 PM prior to the service at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.
