Robert Gerald Moore, 74, of Charlotte, NC passed away Friday, January 12, 2018. Robert was born in Monroe, NC on July 29, 1943 and is survived by his mother Geraldine (Gerri) Moore and the late Robert Henry Moore, he is also preceded in death by his grandparents Jesse and Ruby Melton, Sam and Lena Moore. He enlisted in the Army and served at Fort Jackson, while serving his time in the Army he worked as a manager in the Optical Department, later he moved to Washington, DC, working as a manager in the Optical Department in the Pentagon. Robert enjoyed his hobbies of restoring cars and was a great mechanic. Graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Lakeland Memorial Park 1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28111.
