Robert “Bob” Lane Stegall, 83, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Cabarrus County, NC on November 8, 1941, son to the late Hoyle “Jack” Stegall and Mary “Ailene” Mullis Stegall. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Carolyn Ann Stegall.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at Crooked Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 7918 Crooked Creek Church Rd. Monroe, NC 28110.

Bob is survived by his wife, Linda Broome Stegall; son, Jackie Stegall and wife Janet; daughter, Patricia Ann Polk and husband Jerry; two grandchildren, Robert Stegall, and Shannon Polk; five great-grandchildren, Jacob Kelley, Jadah Kelley, Joleigh Kelley, Essie Mae Stegall, Lemuel Stegall; and one great-great-granddaughter, Paisley Anne Kelley.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd. Monroe, NC 28110.
