Roberta Deana Rising, 75, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022. She was born July 8, 1946, daughter of the late Robert Jewson and Francis Mitchell Jewson.

Family will receive friends from 1:00PM until 2:00PM Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112.

Roberta had a great sense of humor and fun loving personality. Everything revolved around her family that she loved very much. She also enjoyed gardening and reading.

Roberta is survived by her son, Coburn Rising, II of Fayetteville, NY; four daughters, Gail Yost (Erik) of Pensacola, FL, Carol Kurtz of Tolleson, AZ, Tammy Kilts (Mark) of Pennellville, NY, Tania Courtwright of Monroe, NC; brother Winston Jewson of Garner, NC; three sisters, Sharon Kendrick of Bunker Hill, WV, Jacquelyn Bell of Myrtle Beach, SC, Royanne Jewson of Myrtle Beach, SC; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
