Roger Hegler

Roger Dale Hegler (Rodgie), 64, of Monroe, NC died peacefully at home on May 29, 2012 after a battle with lung cancer. He was the loving son of the late Harran Franklin Hagler and Effie Little Hagler. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Virginia Estes Hegler, loving father to daughters, Stephanie White of Ft. Inn, SC, Amanda Anderson of Shelby, NC, to his sons, Steven Arant of Monroe, Chris Hegler and wife Kim of Stanfield, NC, Alex Arant and wife Kelly of Monroe, loving grandfather to Jessica Owens, Megan White, Ricky Hegler, Shea Hegler, Chyenne Hegler, Lynnsey Arant, Steven Arant, Zoe Hagler, Autumn Arant, Kolby Arant, Emma R. Arant, Kyle Arant, Eli Hamilton, Eldora Hamilton, and a great grandson Robert Jolly. He is also survived by a sister, Patricia H. Love and a brother, Lewis F. Hagler and many nieces and nephews. Roger was preceded in death by his brothers, Hugh M. Hagler and Colen P. Hagler. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.
