Mr. Bishop was U S Army veteran. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from 5:30 until 6:45 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112 followed by the funeral service at 7:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Mr. Bishop is survived by his wife, Linda Burgess Bishop, one son, Ronald W. Bishop, both of Waxhaw and a brother, Roy Bishop of Rock Hill, SC.
