Ronald “Ted” Griffin, 86, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023. He was born in Gaston County, NC on January 9, 1937, son of the late Homer Peter and Rachel Harris Griffin. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Gale Plyler.

Mr. Griffin was a U. S. Air Force and U. S. Marine Corp veteran. He was a retired police officer for the City of Monroe.

A funeral service will be held Friday, June 23, 2023, at 11:00 AM in Gordon Funeral Chapel, followed with burial at Gaston Memorial Park at 2:30 PM. The family will visit with friends and relatives from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the service.

Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife of 63 years, Judy Campbell Griffin; son, Ken Griffin (Gwen); grandchildren, Morgan Griffin (Dalton Medlin), Seth Griffin (Jeamelle); great-grandchild, Owen Griffin; brother, Dennis Griffin (Mary) and sister, Delores Thomas (Guy).
