Rose Betty (Johnson) Thomason

Ms. Rose Johnson Thomason, 88, passed away Friday May 16, 2014. Rose was born on July 22, 1925 to the John Edward and Theresa Allgaier Johnson. Rose worked in banking and real estate and most recently was the owner of Bresler’s Ice Cream Shop in the Monroe Mall, she was also a faithful member of Our Lady of The Lourdes Catholic Church. Rose is survived by her daughter Lisa T. Spence (Robert) of Monroe; grandson Alan P. Spence; brother Floyd Johnson (Dolly) of Wassau, WI.; niece Sally J. Young (Mike) of Wassau, WI. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, May 21, 2014 in the Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC, 28112. The family will receive friends and relatives prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow the funeral at Lakeland Memorial Park.
