Roy Eugene Baker, 69, of Waxhaw, NC passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023. He was born in Union County on July 2, 1954, son to the late William Ellison Baker and Nellie Mae Privette Baker, he is also preceded in death by his brother George Baker, and sister Lib Privette.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 21, 2023, in the Chapel of Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112, with burial to follow in Waxhaw City Cemetery.

Roy is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Dana Blancke Baker, son Travis Baker (Fiancée Jessica Lane), two daughters Candace Driggers (Robert), and Heidi Baker, brother Fred Baker, three sisters Pauline McLemore, Peggy Parker, and Joyce Cox, eight grandchildren, Bethanie Driggers, Barbara Driggers, Shane Driggers, Summer Gammon, Xander Allman, Emerson Allman, Brentlee Foxworth, and RiverLee Baker, and two great-grandchildren, Kinsley Beldin and James Beldin.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory.
