Ruby Aline Keeter Starnes, 73, passed away Monday, September 11, 2017. She was born December 22, 1943 in Union County, NC, daughter to the late Herman Nellie Broome Keeter. She was preceded in death by husband, Byron Max Starnes, and daughter, Theresa Smith. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, September 16, 2017 in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends and relatives from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 PM prior to the service. Ms. Starnes is survived by her son, Paul Jones, Jr. of Wingate; daughter, Debby Lynn Stegall of Monroe; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Louie Keeter and Arter Keeter of Monroe; and sisterThelma Smith of Monroe.
