Ruth Lemmond Broome, 96, of Monroe, NC passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022. She was born in Union County on January 15, 1926 daughter to the late Henry Grady Lemmond and Minnie Underwood Broome. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband Donald Ernest Broome, as well as their children; Arnold Broome and Margaret Hardwick, brother Ray Lemmond.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at Gordon Funeral Chapel, burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00AM until 10:45AM at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Ruth is survived by her children; Ernest Wayne Broome, Sue Stephens, Peggy Lassiter and Debby Outen, eleven grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren, sister Louise Price.
