Ruth Knight Inman, 86, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2026. Born on April 1, 1940, in Union County, NC, daughter to the late Dewey Daniel Long and Hazel Canupp Long. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Knight, son, Cecil Knight, three brothers, William “Bill” Long, Garrison Long, Dowd Long, and sister, Evelyn Ray.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, August 24, 2026, in the chapel of Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112, with a burial to follow at Lakeland Memorial Park.

Ruth is survived by her cousin, Ronald Long and wife, Debra, and niece, Collette Mullis (Gary).
