Dateline: Monroe, NC Samuel Harry Robinson, 82, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013. He was born in Richmond County, NC on August 10, 1930 son of the late James and Charity Louis Speight Robinson. Mr. Robinson was a US Army and Navy veteran and a member of West Monroe Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11:00 am in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends following the service. Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Hooks Robinson. He is survived by sons, Dean Samuel Robinson and wife Cindy of Tampa, Florida and Barry Neal Robinson and wife Bridgette of Monroe, sisters, Flora Meyers of Rockingham and Louise McInnis of Durham, 2 grandchildren, Bryanna and Brenner Robinson.
