Rev. Samuel Laloyd Wright, 75, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013. He was born in Lancaster County, SC on July 27, 1938 son of the late J. B. Laney and the late Sadie Wright Funderburk. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 23, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Rev. Wright will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Monroe, NC.
