Sandra Kay Helms

Sandra Kay Helms, 75, of Concord, NC passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021. She was born in Union County on September 10, 1946 daughter to the late Raymond Vance Funderburk and Ruby Lee Mullis Funderburk. She is also preceded in death by her husband Michael Sidney Helms, as well as three brothers R.V. Funderburk, Rick Funderburk and Jack Funderburk. The family will receive friends from 3:00PM until 4:00PM on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. She was a loving and caring person that enjoyed her family and grandchildren. Sandra loved to camp and worked cross word puzzles. She loved the beach. Sandra is survived by her two sons, Scott Helms wife Loresa and Mark Helms wife Amy, one brother Larry Funderburk wife Roxie, five grandchildren, Justin Belk, T.J. Holleman, Brooke Belk, Lauran Helms and Peyton Helms and one great-grandchild, Lakin Belk, two sister-in-law Sharon Funderburk and Nita Funderburk.
