Sandra Medlin Williams, 67, died Sunday June 21, 2015. Sandra was born in Union County, NC March 31, 1948 daughter of the late Grier Bernard and Marjorie Branson Medlin. Sandra attended Benton Heights Elementary School and graduated from Parkwood High School. She was a retired employee of United Carolina Bank, now BBT, and was also a founding member of Covenant Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 2:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends and relatives Wednesday from 12:30 - 1:45 PM prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband, Marvin Wilson Williams; son, Jason Williams and wife, Rochelle; daughter, Angie York and husband, Scott; grandchildren, Freddie and Ian York and Ben Holliday; and brothers, Mike and Danny Medlin, all of Monroe.
