Sara “Loffie” Nesbit Tyson, 74, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014. She was born in Waxhaw, NC on December 26, 1939, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Lee Privette Nesbit. Sara attended East Carolina University, where she majored in Physical Education. She taught school in California, Maryland and Union County. She excelled in all sport activities, including tennis, golf and many others. She loved music, was a great dancer and had an outgoing personality. She also loved animals. She is survived by her husband, William R. “Rob” Tyson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 2:00 PM in Waxhaw United Methodist Church, 200 McDonald Street, Waxhaw, NC 28173, with burial to follow in the Waxhaw City Cemetery.
