Sharon (Kelly) Gullo

Sharon Elizabeth Gullo, 69, of Monroe, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018. She was born January 9, 1949 in Miller Place, NY, a daughter of the late Charles and Minnetta Miller Kelly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 725 Deese Street, Monroe, NC 28112 with the Rev. Father Benjamin A. Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gordon Funeral Service 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC, followed with a Rosary Service starting at 8:00PM at the funeral home. Sharon began her love of nursing as a Candy Striper at the John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson, NY where her career spanned over 33 years becoming a Registered Nurse in the operating room. Sharon was an active member of the Parish of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She loved helping and volunteering at the Senior Center. She was best known as a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother; and a much-loved sister and friend. Sharon is survived by her husband of 29 years, William Gullo, a son Jimmy Genzano (Erin) of Huntington Beach, CA, three brothers, Richard Kelly (John) of Wilton Manor, FL, Charles Vincent Kelly (Josie) of New Mexico, John Kelly (Annette) of Hollywood, CA, two grandchildren, Max Kelly Genzano and Derek James Genzano both of Huntington Beach, CA, a god-daughter, Lauren Kelly of Hollywood, CA, and several nieces and nephews.
