Shelba Scoggins Harvey Seymour, 89, of Monroe, NC passed away on May 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 14, 2026, in the Chapel of Gordon Funeral Service, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn East Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.
She was a remarkable woman whose life was defined by her deep love for those around her. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Shelba built a beautiful life centered on family. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and togetherness, and she found her greatest joy in the time spent with those she loved most.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Jerry Harvey and Morris Seymour, her brothers John and Bob Scoggins, her sisters Deanna Amason and Janice Benton and her son-in-law Joel Clontz.
She is survived by her children, Sherry Clontz, Randy (Melanie) Harvey, Tracy (Tracy) Crowe, Rusty (Kim) Harvey and David Harvey. She was a proud and loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless joy. Her legacy lives on through them and the countless memories they shared.
Shelba will be remembered for her sharp wit, steadfast faith, and tireless work ethic. Deeply devoted to God, she lived her life with purpose and conviction. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome and cherished, and her love extended far beyond her immediate family to all who knew her.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
