Shelby “Jean” Stegall, 80, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, July 7, 2020. She was born February 22, 1940, daughter of the late Foster and Emmie Tarlton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram Stegall; son, Michael Stegall and son-in-law, Ernie Carraway, siblings; Charles "Pete" Tarlton, Jr. Tarlton, Jackie Moss, all of Monroe and Carolyn Rape of Florida. The funeral service will be Thursday, July 9, 2020 at 2:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends and relatives from 1:00 - 1:45 PM prior to the service. Ms. Stegall is survived by daughters Wanda Carraway and Lori Stegall, both of Waxhaw; granddaughters Emily Hailey of Waxhaw and Lindsey Sistare (Brent), both of Monroe; six great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; siblings Marvin Tarlton (Joyce) and Brenda Pressley, both of Monroe; and many nieces and nephews.
