Jean Bivens Thomas, 65, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014. She was born December 6, 1949 in Union County daughter of the late Charles Franklin and Betty Jo Helms Bivens. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, December 13, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Monroe. The family will visit prior to the service beginning at 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Jean is survived by her husband John Dolan Thomas, Sr., son John Dolan Thomas, Jr. wife Tonya of Monroe, daughter Melinda Ann Mackay husband Jonathan of Wingate, brother Charles Bivens, Jr. wife Nicki of Indian Trail, sister Wanda Arant husband Wayne of Marshville, and three grandchildren.
