Shirley Rose Friedrich, 91, of Monroe, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018. She was born February 25, 1927 in Downers Grove, IL, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Massier Shroka. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years George Kenneth (Ken) Friedrich, three sons, Gregory, Gordon, Randall Friedrich and a daughter Pamela Friedrich. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM Monday, November 12, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 725 Deese Street Monroe, NC 28112 with the Rev. Father Cory A. Catron officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at Gordon Funeral Service 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112. A Rosary service will be held at 4:00PM Sunday at the funeral home. Shirley is survived by two daughter's in-law, Tonia Friedrich of Matthews, Barbara Friedrich of Charlotte, a brother Joe Shroka of Downers Grove, IL, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
