Shirley Yvonne (Crow) Gobey

Shirley Yvonne Gobey, 78, of Matthews, formerly of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida passed away Saturday, November 8, 2014. She was born in Duval County, Florida on July 6, 1936, daughter of the late Ned and Dorothy Todd Crow. Mrs. Gobey was a retired employee of Broward Community College. Mrs. Gobey was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan Gobey, daughter, Patty Gobey and sister, Carol Ann Crow. She is survived by sons, Thomas Howell (Tammy) of Riverview, Florida and Randall Gobey (Valarie) of Matthews; daughters, Yvonne Hendricks (Michael) of McComb, Ohio and Yvette Howell; sister, Julia Bell Phillips (Allan) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial Service will be held November 26, 2014 at 1:00 PM at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 8015 Ballantyne Commons Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28277.
