Shirley Evelyn (Smith) Hornback

Shirley Smith “MawMaw” Hornback, 74, passed away Friday, July 03, 2015. She was born May 9, 1941 in Cabarrus County, daughter of the late Pauley James Evelene Munson Smith. She is also preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Hornback, and a son Harold Eugene Hornback. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, July 6, 2015 in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit prior to the service from 12:00 PM until 1:45PM. Shirley is survived by a daughter Denise Berrier, and husband Joel, of Monroe, five brothers, Sam Smith of Midland, Gene Smith of Locust, Edward Smith of Midland, Calvin Smith of Midland, and Doug Smith of Locust, three sisters Joyce Hornback of Matthews, Brenda Monday of Valdese, and Judy Huneycutt of Locust, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
