Shirley Mullis Ghant, 81, of Waxhaw, NC passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. She was born in Union County, NC on December 17, 1944, daughter of the late William “Harrison” Mullis and Helen McWhorter Mullis. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Williams.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00PM, on Monday, April 6, 2026, in the Chapel of Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends following the service. She will be laid to rest privately at a later date at Waxhaw Baptist “Round Top” Cemetery.

Shirley is survived by her loving husband, Donald Smith Ghant, two daughters, Kim Stack, Robin Carter, 7 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, two sisters, Judy Baker and Barbara Williams (Buck).
