Obituary

Stella Rogers Moore passed away peacefully at home on December 9, 2015. She was born on April 13, 1942 in Monroe, NC, daughter of the late Cyrus Marion Rogers (Jimmy) and Alline Parker Rogers. Stella retired from First Citizens Bank. She worked in various areas of banking throughout her life where her greatest joy came from being around others and serving her customers. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church where she was active in her Sunday School class and enjoyed visiting shut-ins as long as her health allowed. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 1:00 until 1:45 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. Stella is survived by her husband of 52 years, James R. Moore; son, James (Jimmy) S. Moore and wife Katrina of Indian Trail, and three grandsons, Casey Moore, Andrew Moore and Benjamin Moore, a sister, Jane Austin of Monroe, brothers, Eddie Rogers and wife Cindy of Waxhaw and Mac Rogers and wife Teresa of Fairview. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shiloh Baptist Church, 2301 Rocky River Rd., Monroe, NC 28110 or Hospice Palliative Care, Charlotte Region, 1420 East 7th St., Charlotte, NC 28204.
