Dateline: Monroe, NC Stephen Wayne Carter, 55, passed away Friday, March 20, 2009. He was born in Union County, NC, June 18, 1953 son of Archie Lee Carter and the late Jackie Moore Carter. Steve was co-founder and owner of ABS Insulation and Guttering Co. The Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday March 24, 2009 at 3:00 PM at the Gordon Funeral Chapel 1904 Lancaster Avenue Monroe NC, 28112. Visitation will be following the service. He is Survived by his wife Kathy Starnes Carter, his father Archie and two sisters Tammy Kasten of Greensboro NC, and Michelle Hartis of Monroe NC. Memorials may be made to the Union County Humane Society PO Box 101 Monroe NC 28111. Steve spread his boundless enthusiasm for life through numerous hobbies, racing, classic cars, fishing, landscaping, and civil war memorabilia. He dreamed big, worked big and played big.
