Steven Edwin Howard

Mr. Steven Edwin Howard,72, of Marshville, NC passed away Monday, August 10, 2020. He was born in Mecklenburg County on February 14, 1948 to the late Harley Edwin Howard and Betty Shore Howard. A service to honor Steve will be held at a later date. Steve served his country as a Drill Sergeant in the United States Army, based in Ft. Polk, LA from 1968 until 1974. He then worked as a General Contractor in the construction industry for over 40 years. He competed in PRCA events, enjoyed performing cowboy poetry and storytelling at different venues, loved his horse, Red, and enjoyed competing in Chuckwagon Cooking Events. He is survived by his wife of 17 years Kathy N. Lockamy Howard, brothers; Hal Howard (Kim) of Waxhaw, NC, Paul Howard (Kitty), of Hope Mills, NC, sister, Linda Parrish (Billy) of Danville, VA, step-daughter, Lori Lockamy McLennan of Wilmington, NC, Aunt Jean Eaker, two step-grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews.
