Sucthell Brooks Richardson

Dateline: Monroe, NC Sucthell Brooks Richardson, 92, died Tuesday, November 11, 2008. She was born in Union County, NC on November 9, 1916 daughter of the late Augustus and Giola Wade Brooks. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 2:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the New Living Word Cemetery, formerly Silver Run Church. Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her husband, John Floyd Richardson and a son, James Edward Richardson. She is survived by her sons, Floyd Richardson of Waxhaw, Kenneth Richardson of Lancaster, SC, Looie and Larry Richardson, both of Monroe, daughters, Johnnie Mae Reid, Doris Richardson and Lavern Hood, all of Monroe, Peggy Redfern of Indian Trail, 22 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 41 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday prior to the service at 1:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Cremation Service.
