Mrs. Suzanne Helms Griffin, 75, of Monroe, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015, at CMC-Union. She was born July 30, 1940, in Mecklenburg County, NC to the late Hubert and Sara Virginia Plyler Helms. Mrs. Griffin was married to the late Ellis Wilson Griffin, Jr. She is survived by her son, Wesley Scott Griffin and wife, Wendy Turner Griffin of Unionville; sister, Geri Plyler and husband, Jim of Monroe; sister-in-law, Diana Sweezy and husband, Terrell of Monroe; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 29, 2015, from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM on Tuesday in the Gordon Funeral Chapel, conducted by Dr. Chris Baucom. A private interment will follow.
