Margaret (Suzie) Matthews Hinson, 86, of Waxhaw, NC passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. She was born in Union County, NC on January 13, 1938, the daughter of the late Flo Stegall Matthews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Rob Hinson, her brother, William Henry Matthews, Jr., and her sister, Betty Jean Tomlinson.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 19, 2024, at Lakeland Memorial Park Mausoleum, 1901 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28111.

Suzie is survived by her husband of 69 years, William (Neal) Hinson, son, Bill Hinson (Lori) and daughter, Shari Sierk (Dave), four grandchildren; David Sierk (Katy), Elizabeth Sierk (Jason Costin), Matt Sierk (Jennifer) and Haley Gonzalez (Kent), and five great-grandchildren; Grace, Tripp, Sam, Henry, and Crew.
