Sylvia Ailene Hill

Sylvia Ailene Hill, 71, of Ft. Lawn, SC passed away on August 11, 2025. She was born in Union County, NC on July 9, 1954, daughter to the late Boyce Cray Hill and Alene Parker McCroskey. She is also preceded in death by her two brothers Arnold and Earl Hill.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Mineral Spring Methodist Church, 5915 Old Waxhaw-Monroe Rd, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00PM until 2:45PM in the church sanctuary.

Sylvia was born and raised in Alton. She took care of everyone: her family, their homes, and general tasks. She helped tremendously with raising her grandkids and great-grandkids. She loved watching preaching, comedy movies, and westerns. She faithfully loved The Lord and lived her life with Christ at the forefront. She taught children’s church for many years and she and her family were always in church even when church wasn’t in session. Sylvia lived mostly in South Carolina throughout her life, and she often found herself at the beach. Inn 2024, she moved to Ft. Lawn with the love of her life, AJ Bucciero.

She is survived by two sons, Howard “Howie” Broome IV, Matthew Broome (Kandas), one daughter, Ali Seibert (Deron), two sisters, Barbara Lemmonds (Gary), Ravon Pender, six grandchildren, Kirstin Dustin, Joanna Keen (Brandon), MaKayla Broome (Nicholas Viele), Morgan Broome, Skye Seibert, Luka Seibert, and six great-grandchildren, Presley, Mila, and Theo Dustin, Eliott and Ozzy Keen, and Lincoln Viele.
