Sylvia Sue (Morris) Jackson

Sylvia Sue Jackson, 79, of Waxhaw, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016. She was born January 31, 1937, in Surry County, NC daughter to the late Henry Morris and Daisy Ella Wall Morris. She is also preceded in death by her husband Alex Haywood Jackson, a brother, Bauzy Morris and four sisters Irene Riddle, Gert Hill, Ila Mae Stewart, and Ruby Renn. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, October 2, 2016 in Mineral Springs United Methodist Church, 5915 Old Waxhaw-Monroe Rd, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Jackson is survived by her two sons, Alex Haywood Jackson, Jr. of Waxhaw and Vance Jackson, wife Connie of WV; a daughter, Robin Connelley and husband Mike of Waxhaw; one brother, Julius Morris and wife Mary Lee of VA; ten grandchildren, Zach Connelley, Megan Callahan and husband Patrick, Katie Connelley, Jay Connelley, Laura Lane and husband Martin, John Jackson and wife LeeAnn, Bethany Pray and husband Joe, Haleigh Jackson, Cassidy Jackson and Nate Jackson; and six great-grandchildren.
