Sylvia Austin Wylie, 73, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017. She was born in Union County, North Carolina on March 30, 1944, and daughter to the late Arie Austin and Virginia Lee Cash. She is also preceded in death by her daughter Holly Loy and her husband’s Don Harris Neal Wylie. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends following the service. Sylvia is survived by a daughter; Shaun Provost, six grandchildren; Paxton and McKenzie Provost, Lacey and Chad Carnes, Matthew and Kristina Loy, great grandchild Kayden Coffey, a stepson; Jeff Wylie, wife Amy, a brother; J.R. Austin, two sisters; Ginny Austin, and Suzanne Griffin, husband Scott, plus many close relatives and friends.
