Tara Von Smith

Tara Von Smith, 38, of Monroe, NC passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2023. She was born in Union County on May 11, 1984.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 15, 2023, in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Tara Von, was a fighter to say the least. She was kind and had a memory like an elephant. So she never let you forget. She was a princess in her own world who loved to sparkle and shine where ever she went. You will be missed.

Tara is the daughter of Sherry Ashley Kowallek (Tom) and the late Phillip Smith, step-mother

Patti Smith. Tara is also survived by her three brothers, Chatham Smith (Sylvia); Jonathan Benton; Austin Watts; three sisters, Kayla Efird; Gretchen Watts; and Pamela Strom, Sandra Walden (Granny), J.V. Walden (Pawpaw), as well as thirteen nieces and nephews.
